August Marching Camp (FULL BAND)
Starts Mon August 2 at 8:00 am and will meet every week day or evening until school starts, except for Fri Aug 20. Check the calendar for day-to-day times. Be sure to dress and prepare for hot weather (stay within dress code, wear well-fitting athletic shoes, bring plenty of your own water, and don't forget your sunscreen).
Volunteers are the lifeblood of any organization. Your participation is greatly appreciated. WISD policy and forms for registering to be a volunteer can be found on the WISD website.

Uniform Fitting Day
Saturday, August 7th
The Weatherford High School Band annual day for student uniform fitting will be held on Saturday, August 7th. This event is mandatory for all high school students. Please adhere to the following schedule:
SENIORS: 8-9 AM
JUNIORS: 9-10 AM
SOPHOMORES: 10-11 AM
FRESHMEN Last Name A-L: 11 AM-NOON
FRESHMEN Last Name M-Z: NOON-1PM
UNIFORM DAY VOLUNTEERS
WANTED: Volunteers that have never worked the Uniform Day event. No experience necessary! Returning volunteers, too. Male or female. Please come and work however long you can stay! You do not need to sew or know how to sew this day. Returning volunteers will be paired with new volunteers for an hour or for the duration. The event is expected to run from 7:45 am to 1:15 pm this Saturday August 7, 2010. Work areas include Marching Uniform Fitting, Hat/Shoe Fitting, Shirt Orders, Glove/Sock Sales, Concert Dress Fitting, Tuxedo Fitting, Spirit Item Sales, Volunteer Sign Up, and more. UNIFORM TAILORS
WANTED: New and returning uniform tailors to hand sew hems in marching and guard uniforms, concert dress and tuxedos. Ability to make minor repairs a plus but not required. Training and support is available, and work hours can suit your schedule. Marching uniforms and guard uniforms will need to be worked on August 9th through 22nd. Concert dresses and tuxedos will be worked on until complete, with a deadline of mid-November. Click here to submit a volunteer form for helping as a uniform tailor.
UIL Medical Form
The U.I.L. Medical form is required of all students participating in the band programs. Band directors will begin collecting these forms on Monday, August 2nd, and are due no later than the first day of school.
Weatherford Band Pool Party
Friday, August 6th
The annual Weatherford Band Pool Party will be held at the Texas Star Ranch on Friday, August 6th, between 6:00 and 10:00 p.m. See the flyer for more details and sign-up information. See y'all there!
Applebee's Pancake Breakfast
Saturday, August 14th
The annual Weatherford Band Pancake Breakfast fundraiser at Applebee's will be held on Saturday, August 14th, between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. This major fundraiser benefits all Weatherford ISD band programs. See the flyer for more details. Be sure to talk this up with neighbors and friends!
